AFAIK "Tante Ju" will leave at Saterday 16.00 LT back to Germany (Cologne). (Eh, the flying one from Lufthansa Stiftung, I mean, not the one from Aviodrome)DutchDakota wrote:http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?id=27100
So a Junkers and a couple of DC-3's. Any information about the DC-3's? I believe that the LN-WND is coming..
Thnx!
They say they invited all airworthy Dakotas around in Europe, but later they changed the name of the event. It is now a fly-in for aircraft from the period the Dakota was flying (whatever this post 1940 period is meant to be). It gives me a feeling a lot operators have denied the invitation and they are trying to get other types to present at least something to the public.Stratofreighter wrote:Has anyone got any information about non-Dutch based aircraft participating in this event?
Well, apart from the Junkers JU-52 that is of course...
"a.. JU-52 - will arrive on Friday and will make local pleasure flight on
Friday and Saturday
b.. Catalina PBY-5A - is scheduled to make local pleasure flights on Saturday and Sunday
c.. DC-3 (2xDDA) - Both DC-3 are attending the fly-In and on Sunday both will make pleasure flights
d.. Lisunov LI-2 (HA-LIX)- will make an appearance on both days
e.. DC-3 (France) - will make an appearance, not the AF/KLM DC-3.
f.. B-25 - will make an appearance
g.. DHC-2 - will make an appearance
h.. B-18 - will make an appearance
i.. DC-2 - slated to make an engine run
j.. Constellation C-121A - slated to make an engine run.(not sure?)
(Ps: DC-6 is not coming, due to high price)
(Ps: during the last Fly-In the KLM colored S-2 Tracker made a engine run and folded up her engines...not sure if she will be silent this time)"
Interesting stuff, love to see that B-18 and HA-LIXStratofreighter wrote:Got the following info forwarded just now...

That was two fly-ins ago. BTW is it still in KLM colours? I thought I read somewhere it was repainted.Stratofreighter wrote: (Ps: during the last Fly-In the KLM colored S-2 Tracker made a engine run and folded up her engines...not sure if she will be silent this time)"
It's at the museum's territory (as all aviodrome organised fly-ins), during the museum opening times (so start at 10.00 and close at 17.00 local times). Normal museum entrance fees apply for this event.Crimson wrote:Anyone know anything about times? And is it on the museum terrain? I can't really find a lot of information.
