The Mi 2 is the B-2910 c/n 536010019 and is ex Czech AF 82910, ex Czech Police B-2910.
This Mi 2 was standing with Piet Smedts for several years in Baarlo.

The present location is:

AlWeCo Tuinproducten
Honderdlaan 103
Maasdijk

And is standing on the roof.

A photo of the rooftop Mi-2 is here:

http://www.hortinews.com/news.php?id=14465" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can't get an unobstructed photo of it from anywhere on the ground, you'd need to get permission to go on the roof or on a neighbouring roof.

Hi all,

I did some searching today, starting with the new location of the company; no MiG-23.
After asking I discovered it is preserved in the garden of the owner's new villa.

The new location is Maasdijk 224, 2691NX 's Gravenzande.
It's in the garden behind a villa next to the N220 road, near "De Oranjesluis".
The aircraft is visible from the road to "Maasambacht", but it's not possible to take pictures
from outside the garden, due to trees.

I will post some pictures at http://www.aviareports.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in a few minutes.

Best regards,

Pim

Thanks for the update, will go there soon !

by the way; were your pics taken from the road to Maasmbacht as you describe, or from the garden - as they also show trees?
If from th egarden; whom did you ask for permission (if you did at all ;) )

It's taken from the garden. The owner wasn't home, but some contractors
were working in the villa, and they didn't mind me taking pictures.

Hi Pim and others,

At http://www.eurodemobbed.org.uk/ the first entry in the Dutch section shows this bird on a pole. Is this the current location at Maasdijk 224, or an older photo? I'd still like to get a good photo of it.

Seems like the current locations (behind a villa) as previously it was on a pole between glashouses at a garden centre..

I e-mailed the photographer and it's indeed the new location. Light is bad in the (early) afternoon, so early morning would probably be best. You need to ask permission to enter the garden but it's readily given.

Nu is die Mi-2 in Maasdijk ook naar een tuin verplaatst. Weet iemand het adres? Mag ook per PM, ik zal me netjes gedragen.

Hi,

My sincere apologies for this but am not fluent though have some idea of written word in Dutch. Am planning a trip to Holland and do wish to know where most airframes are and would ask if the last post could be translated, please?

I hate not being as multi-cultural as the more civilised residents of the Netherlands but at my age new languages are for survival only. Many thanks.

Goodevening Highlander, translation for the fogg post : That Mi-2 in Maasdijk village ( 'Westland' near the Hook ) also moved to a private garden.
Q : Anyone for the correct adress ?.....that's it ! Have a good one.

Maasdijk 224, 2691 NZ Westland, Nederland

Hi all, cycled past the current location of this MiG-23. It is still sitting pretty in the garden of the villa over here. For a good view you really have to either walk or cycle over the road here.

For a photo you really need to get onto the property. But the large gate doesn't look very inviting. Then again: there was a door bell... ;)
