you should name yourself Simon Cowell... above average this and that... not everybody is gifted with a nice camera or with great photo editing skills...tonjochems wrote:Eddy , nice above average pics too... and vuurwerk reeshof... keep practising .. long way to go...
and re posting my pics here.. why should I as I have my own site.... which everybody knows..
If I go through your list then Sjaak's pictures aren't suitable for this forum either, look at the white lines on the nose of the SkyEurope, that's no line, it's a stairs made of jaggies, try to use less sharpening to avoid it. With all due respect Sjaak, I like your pics, as I do from everyone else. The only pics in this topic matches all of the points made are from Eddy (IMHO). Sure there is room for improvement, Yorick @ your KLM 747 during take off. You could/should level the horizon, as the plane is not taking off from a mountain slope, but I'm not going to discuss every pic here. A leveled horizon makes your pic much more realistic and thus much nicer.tonjochems wrote:Giving comments and tips fine if you want to and have the time for it.... however.. it would be a daily "mission" here... Some screening would be appreciated on this forum...
If you glance through many of the pics on the forum , you will find a lot
of pics being ;
-out of focus
-blurry
-overexposed
-underexposed
-out of level
-overcropped
-over edited
-too much detail... some times I think people are taking pics of radomes iso aircraft....or undercarriages only iso aircraft...

And more important , it would be nice if everybody sticks to the rules as published
Forum rules
This forum is for sharing your aviation related photo's with the rest of the community, not a chance to 'dump your memory card' (I think a lot of people take the pleasure of doing this ) . Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, or link to images, which clearly are unsharp (many of those still on line) with common subjects (hey hurray do we finally get rid of all those common birds posted now??? Would be nice to see in the daily topic only the highlights of the day iso all those common sights...think no need need to give examples as everybody know where i am talking about!!!). For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
SO looking strict to the published rules..... most of the posts are out of line!!!!
So would be nice if the moderator take some action!!!!
You can also use the reclamation mark, right of each message.C6 Do not post complains about other postings or users on this Board, but send a private message to the Moderator of the forum.
But, if you post pictures here, you can get criticism either positive or negative. Let the negative criticism result in a better picture. Saying your picture is bad is as easy it is, saying your picture is bad because of the lack of sharpness or overexposure is of mean to someone. Even better is to provide a tip how to solve it.C5 Please beware of the language you use; fulminating, swearing, personal insults, flaming and the like will NOT be allowed. Again, violation may result in you being banned from this Message Board without any warnings. This at the discretion of the Moderators and Administrators at these Boards.
The rules are here indeed.... , but nobody is adhering to it... endless pages full of common aircraft..... and frequently with quality below the set standards... It makes the photoforum less interesting..., what I want to see is the highlights.... as described in the rules..... And re not knowing my name and -or my site... well just use Google...So the rules are here and known so Ton, the person who expects everybody to know his site (a touch of arrogance because I do not know it), should have known these facts written above and not in a bad mood written his comments (as a regular visitor of this forum). So this discussion wasn't needed at all
I agree with DeeJay's comment.
