I get so many upgrades on CX flying between HKG and AMS that i can hardly imagine that they can't sell their available seats. ...

Hmz, misschien een rare gedachte, maar is de reden van de upgrades nou juist niet dat de kisten niet vol zitten? Met andere woorden, bij een volle kist zal men minder snel upgrades krijgen dan bij een lege.

Enige reden voor CX om te upgraden is als Y overboekt is en er stoelen in Business en First vrij zijn...
M.a.w. CX heeft volgens mij extra stoelen achterin nodig om alle vakantiegangers naar Zuid-Oost Azie (met Dragonair) en Australie/Nieuw Zeeland te vliegen.

KLM has announced plans to introduce the B747-400M on the 4x/weekly service AMS-Chengdu-AMS in Summer 2011.
The new schedule reduces the flying time by 40 min. out and 45 min. on the return flight, but maintains the 1,5 hour turnaround of the A330-200.

Lufthansa has announced a 24% increase in seat capacity on HAM-AMS-HAM with the introduction of CRJ900s on all flights:

- HAM 07:00 AMS 08:00 LH 3334 CRJ900 Daily ex.Sun
- HAM 15:20 AMS 16:20 LH 3336 CRJ900 Mon-Fri
- HAM 18:40 AMS 19:40 LH 3338 CRJ900 Daily ex.Sat

- AMS 08:35 HAM 09:30 LH 3335 CRJ900 Daily ex.Sun
- AMS 16:55 HAM 17:50 LH 3337 CRJ900 Mon-Fri
- AMS 20:15 HAM 21:10 LH 3339 CRJ900 Daily ex.Sat

While MUC-AMS-MUC and FRA-AMS-FRA will both be operated 7x/daily by LH. MUC will be operated with E95, CRJ900 and AVRO RJ80, while FRA sees A320, A319, B733 and B735.

West Bohemian airport Karlovy Vary is between three new destination of Azerbaijan Airlines, where the Azerbaijan national carrier want to introduce scheduled flights soon. The others are oil industry UK city Aberdeen and Dutch Amsterdam.

Any idea if this will start this Summer or if it's not correct?

From the 7th of June China Southern opens a new route directly from Guangzhou to Amsterdam.
Flights wil be on monday, wednessday and friday and will be operated by a A330-200.

Expect some further adjustments in the CZ/AMS timetable.

Qatar Airways gaat dagelijks komen met een A330. Tijden heb ik zo niet, maar ze gaan komen.

Volgens QR nu doorgeschoven naar een start in Oktober 2011. (misschien dus pas per winterdienst 2011-2012)
