It seems to be a code-share construction with Arkefly, so not so spectaculair news after all.

The Sunwing flights differ slightly in timing from the Arkefly flights, but have the same flight number. Codeshare?:

Toronto – Amsterdam 2 weekly
WG396 YYZ1815 – 0745+1AMS 767 37
WG395 AMS1345 – 1615YYZ 767 37

Amsterdam - Toronto 2 weekly
OR395 AMS 13.55 - 16.55 767 37
OR396 YYZ 18.15 - 08.25 767 37

It's codeshare indeed. Just like last year.
Will be operated with an oldie of ArkeFly. (2-3-2 abreast seating)

ArkeFly times:
Depart from AMS 13.55
Arrival at AMS 07.45
All times are local times!

XYZ wrote:In addition to operating the Airbus A330-200 on its new route Guangzhou-Amsterdam, China Southern has now announced it will replace the daily B777-200 on CAN-PEK-AMS-PEK-CAN with the Airbus A330-200 as well. So AMS will see 2x CZ A330s on passenger services and 2x B777Fs on cargo flights from PVG and CAN.

- CAN dep. 10:00 - arr. 12.50 PEK 14:20 - arr. AMS 18:35 CZ 345 A330-200 daily
- AMS dep. 20:55 - arr. 12:40 PEK 14.30 - arr. CAN 17.45 CZ 346 A330-200 daily

According to Airlineroute.net, this flight is going to be operated with A330-300 equipment.

China Southern Airlines‘ Daily Guangzhou – Beijing – Amsterdam service from 27MAR11 switches from Boeing 777 to Airbus A330-300. Previously this site mentioned it was going to be operated by -200.

That would be 7 weekly A330-300 and 3 weekly A330-200

indeed, A333 has a range of more or less 5500 NM with the −300HGW at about 6000 NM.

Great circle distance PEK - AMS is about 4250 NM according to google maps.

So on which day is each flight, I am not really understanding that notation.
