ETAD 20-06-2011 feat. "FT" A-10 ...

Post by Richard de Florennes »

as I was already pleased with the successful arrival day for the St. Dizier airshow and due to the bad weather forecast, I cancelled another planned tour to France for the departures and "diverted" into Spang (I like the A-10 and hoped just for a few of them) ... Although I had virtually no information available if and what has been going on there since a couple of weeks, this "good-luck" visit provided some very interesting movements ...

Hi, thanks for the question; I had intended to correct this log on Monday, but I forgot. Yes, the FT A-10 returned back to base just after I had compiled this report and logged of my notebook in my car ... So it probably performed a test flight ...
But according to its configuration with external fuel tank and two travel pods it is/was probably intended to leave soon ...
Hope this helps.

Is there any photo of A-10C 82-0660 (marked 76 FS), taken at Spang, available? Was this "Hog" also at the SABCA Charleroi plant? Please check: http://warthognews.blogspot.com/2011/09 ... lajes.html
