Pete,

Als je de massa's die Menno geeft: empty + usefull opteld krijg je een All Up Weight van 10600 kg, oftewel het maximale wat een NH90 mag wegen om veilig te vliegen. Je mag er denk ik dan ook vanuit gaan dat de 10000 kg op de defensie website het gewicht is in de configuratie die er bij staat. Je hebt geen torpedo's, machinegeweer en sonar nodig voor SAR op de Noordzee. ;-)

Nice calculation Menno! I think the chance that an NH90 will land on an oil rig with full tanks is zero percent... How does it get there without burning off fuel :wink:

How about an aborted take-off after refueling?

Refueling an aircraft on a rig to above its max ramp weight is a bit of a no-no! So even that shouldn't pose a problem.

Once again, the empty weight is 6400 kg
The maximum landing weight on a platform is 9600 kg
So, there is 3200 kg left for fuel, crew and load.
The internal fuel capacity is 2035 kg.
When using the maximum internal fuel capacity there is 1165kg for crew and load.

I didn't write anything about a need of using external fuel tanks

Read better before responding.

De N 102 staat nu gepland om afgeleverd te worden op de 29 of 30 november a.s.

Als alles goed gaat wordt er eind maart weer een NH-90 afgeleverd. Als hij blijft staan is dit nr.6.

Wat is de status van de N-088? Deze fladderde als eerste in Nederland rond, maar is al sinds eind 2010 niet meer gezien..

Eind vorig jaar opereerde deze in ieder geval als testheli vanuit Frankrijk.
