There is a nice story to this picture. We were waiting at Twenthe for things to come, when suddenly we heard this E-3 on the scanner stating that it would make an approach at Hopsten. We decided that we might be lucky enough to catch it and jumped into the car. We then broke our record by doing Twenthe-Hopsten in 20 minutes and were just in time for the AWACS.

This Phantom was upgraded by DASA and made testflights from Hopsten to the Meppen Range. Therefore it carried these orange bombs.
