Some more orders from the past weeks:

Lion Air has ordered another 27 ATR-72-600s, to be operated by its subsidiary Wings Air.

Garuda has ordered 18 CRJ-1000s, with 18 options. The six unidentified CRJ-1000s and 18 options mentioned above are part of this order.

JAL has ordered 10 B787-9s. It also converted 10 of its B787-8s to 10 B787-9s.

BOC Aviation, the lessor, ordered 20 COMAC C919s. This brings total ordered for the jet to 235.

So the rumour was indeed correct. By the way, the other 12 firm will be leased through Nordic aviation.

Air New Zealand has ordered 2 B787-9s. These are options converted into orders. The total order by ANZ for the type now stands at 10. The first aircraft is scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of 2014.

China Southern Airlines has placed an order for ten Boeing 777-300ER's.

Merpati has ordered 40 ARJ-21's at the Singapore Airshow. I haven't seen an official announcement, but the news is burried somewhere deep inside this article.

Rwandair has ordered 2 CRJ-900NGs. The order also includes two options.

TAAG Angola Airlines has ordered 3 B777-300ERs. It has also gained purchase rights for three more.

Japan Airlines has ordered 1 E-170. This aircraft will be operated by J-Air, just like the 10 examples that are already in service.

It's not an order yet, and also, it's for 20 777-300ERs, not 24 ;)

Some more order news, actually from some time ago already. Source is the Air International magazine.

ALAFCO has ordered another 35 A320neos. 30 of these were options gained last year, and 5 new examples. The order was signed on February 14.

Ethiopian Airlines has ordered 5 Bombardier Q400s. Three of these will be operated by its subsidiary ASKY Airlines.

Horizon Air has ordered 2 Bombardier Q400s.

Though no press release by Airbus, Afriqiyah seems to have ordered 3 A330-300's

I have to say, I have my reservations about this, but it seems the Sukhoi SSJ has secured a new order. Pakistani airline Air Indus has ordered 3 SSJ. At least according to this article.

EVA Air will acquire 7 B777-300ERs. Three will be bought from Boeing, the rest from lessors.

Looks like FedEx Express has bought another 19 B767-300Fs. However, they also seem to have cancelled 4 777Fs.
