United has revealed new summer schedules for AMS:

-IAH-AMS will switch from the planned B764 to a 2-class B76W
-IAD-AMS will switch from the planned B752 to a 3-class B763 (same as winter 2012-2013)

KLM is ending service to Addis Ababa and Khartoum effective March 31. Last flight on the 3x weekly route will be March 29.

KLM seems to be increasingly breaking with a long tradition of standard European scheduling patterns, where KL flights are operated on a daily basis within Europe, with minor capacity adjustments at the weekend.

In Summer 2013 several routes will see a new pattern, where flights are operated irregularly during the week or at weekends ONLY for the entire Summer scheduling period. Previously this happened on the basis of either 'non-peak' or 'peak' summer season, but within a standard scheduling pattern.

AMS-ATH: period April - June 30 + Sept - Oct.

Probably not. They tried AMS in the past and it didn't work. Besides, they already fly to BRU, CDG and FRA, which are all not too far from AMS.

Most high yield pax on the KLM flights to KRT/ADD are transatlantic transfer passengers

Both EY and KL will fly the route (so double daily) with codeshare. As Garuda has also moved to Abu Dhabi instead of Dubai from Amsterdam, looks like they're all trying to really compete with EK...

Flight numbers would be EY077/8 and the aircraft (332) would have a downtime of 7:20 in AMS (arrival 14:40, departure 22:00). Will be intersting if this will be confirmed next Tuesday.

The MD-11s are dissapearing fast. Only Toronto (3x weekly during July/August), Montreal (daily), Delhi (4x weekly during April) and LAX (3x weekly during May and June) during S13?

Also luchtvaartnieuws.nl came with the news that Etihad is opening the route starting May 15th.

SCHIPHOL - Etihad Airways heeft plannen om nog dit voorjaar passagiersvluchten te starten vanaf Schiphol. De luchtvaartmaatschappij uit de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten heeft slots aangevraagd voor een dagelijkse lijndienst naar Abu Dhabi, met als startdatum 15 mei. Op de route zal een Airbus A330-200 met 262 stoelen worden ingezet, zo is op te maken uit informatie van Stichting Airport Coordination Netherlands.
