It isn't. At all. Although that particular terminal isn't the most thrilling one, I must agree.
Anyway, Air Europa will maintain it's current frequency and metal on AMS-MAD. During peaks A330's are planned again, just like last year.

FlyGeorgia is replacing AMS with new service to Dusseldorf. They are now promoting Amsterdam as a rail connection from Dusseldorf.

Royal Jordanian will re-introduce the A321 to AMM-AMS on Wednesdays. This aircraft type has not be scheduled regularly to AMS since 2007/2008.
Tunis Air will operate 3x/week in Summer 2013, with the A320, B735 and B736 each scheduled 1x/week.

El Al have scheduled more widebodies to AMS this summer compared to previous years.
Current schedules show the B744 being scheduled on most Mondays and Fridays from the end of June until early October.
Morning flights on other days show mostly a mix of B762/763 from early April onwards.

Maastricht Airlines have postponed their flights untill further notice. It seems they can't get their F50 delivered. Originally, the flights would have started on March 25th but later postponed it to May 1st due to some technical problems which were discovered during the maintenance check of the F50s they were leasing. However, they're not going to make this date and no new date for the start has been given.

Maybe someone can shed more light on this, but apparently Delta has replaced the B777 with a A330 on the DL248/249 run?
