From FB - Phantom-Pharewell.de :
Update: So leid es mir tut. Eben hat die MIG und die CASA auch auf morgen verschoben. Die griechische F4 ist immer noch in Aviano und kommt heute auch nicht mehr. Sorry, das ist alles gerade erst reingekommen.
Wir sehen uns morgen !!

Despite the horrible weather. Can anyone give a status update about the accessibility of the spottersareas outside the base?
Will be very much appreciated.
See you tomorrow (if I can get myself to leave the car)

Can anyone confirm if the Greek F4 will attempt to arrive tomorrow? The Bing translation doesn't give much hope....
Best regards,
Charles

Die griechische F4 ist immer noch in Aviano und kommt heute auch nicht mehr.
The German text clearly states that it doesn't come
today (heute). From that I assume it will make an attempt tomorrow, but nothing is guaranteed until it actually lands of course.

Can anyone confirm the F-4s will NOT fly on the spottersday but WILL fly on saturday?
Flying info for spottersday is confusing.

That is what I read yes.
While I have a lot of respect for what JG71 is doing for us I wonder how many spotters choose to see them flying for a last time and will go there on Saturday...
But first and foremost I want to thank the Richthofen people for organizing this event!

For any of you who did not visit today.
The static at the east part of the airport is all gated up, so no 'free' photos.
The west part (with all the phantoms) was gate-free today.

My log of today's spotters day at Wittmund AB. We left before they opened up the eastern shelter area, so I didn't log the German Tornado, F-16 etc.
