Your conclusion could be right. But concerning the budget available, could it be different?jp 74 wrote:Wow 35, so really can make a difference! NOT.
Or as we say in Dutch, we kunnen geen deuk meer in een pakje boter slaan!
Think about this:
2x QRA and 2 backup
About 6 in the USA for training
About 12 in maintainance
And a couple (about 4) on a foreign mission
A couple will crash to.....
So maybe we can get 9 planes and after a couple of years 3 or 4 in the air.
It will get really silent on the Dutch airfields!
Maybe time to switch to civil!
Oh Yes, but that's an other threat in this forum....Rockville wrote:Your conclusion could be right. But concerning the budget available, could it be different?
Nice bringing some ancient 'wisdom' in here that is about troops with swords and not about fighter aircraft costing 65 million euro a piece. If you seriously think there will be another order sometime in the future, you will almost surely be disappointed.Flyboy wrote:Oh Yes, but that's an other threat in this forum....
Remember that the F-16 also is purchased in batches. That's whats they call Salami method or in Sun Zu's old wisdom: "Invite the enemy on the roof (of your palace to inspect the troops) and remove the ladder."
1) Wisdom is not limited in time, proven by the fact that Sun Tsu still is part of strategic literature at the academies.evhest wrote:Nice bringing some ancient 'wisdom' in here that is about troops with swords and not about fighter aircraft costing 65 million euro a piece.
