???

Is this about positioning of spottters? 10 years ago it was great. Why should this time be different?

So the flyingtimes for the spottersdays are the same for most flyingdays (all times z +2 hrs), which means that the landing afternoonwave wil be between 16.30 and 18.00 at which time the sun is straight in the runwaydirection, which is not so nice for good photo's.

@ Roberto:

What do you think the goal of the NTM is?
1. Supporting spotters with the best photo opportunities.
2. Organizing a large scale excercise to train the air forces for the next call to go to a crisis in the world.

Just as you I will be taking photos into the sun from 15.30 hrs but I greatly appreciate that 51 and NTM organize a spottersday at all!

Take it as it is or don't go at all and stop posting these negative replies...

A lot of spotters think it is 1 then 1 closely followed by number 1 accompanied by number 1 and maybe a long way trailing behind that number 2 as a bit of a spin off of another number 1. (While cursing all the clashing of spotterdays and airshows at Schleswig-Jagel, Karup and Gilze-Rijen as they will have to drop some of
the best photo opportunities.

It is not a negative reply, but a remark for the people who are not familiar at Schleswig and want to photograph from the outside on the non spotterdays.
During the spotterday you can photograph the afternoon wave with no problem on the taxiway (east-west direction), only runway shots will be a bit more challenging.

Hi,

for those who are interested in sunpositions, take a look here :) . You can play with times and dates.

And here a link to a "Bavarian Tiger". It's a beauty! Also the host squadron at Jagel have a very beautiful "black" Tiger. I am quit curious about the french as the french have also some truly great paint artists. As they proved in the past.

And during the none flying moments during the spottersday(s) - I hope they have "bratwursten" to eat and stands to visit.
