POLET airlines suspended flights

As explained by Potapov, discontinued operations "in connection with the finding of passenger aircraft maintenance and due to lack of agreement on the fate of two cargo AN-124" with the creditors.

On Monday, November 24 carrier ceased operating flights to St. Petersburg (until December 14), canceled flights to Moscow in real time. The site "Flight" details about schedule changes not.

The case of declaring bankruptcy is scheduled for May 20, 2015

Now debt "Flight" before IFC lease payments amounts to 163,150,000 rubles. Previously, IFC, in 2011-2012. the carrier with three cargo aircraft An-124, already went to court because of non-payment of lease payments.

Then with the airline sought nearly $ 3.5 million. (The rest of the amount of debt falls on debt payments for the operation of three owned by IFC cargo Il-96-400 in 2009-2013.).

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has canceled Polet Airline’s air operator’s certificate (AOC), following a suspension at the end of 2014 due to financial difficulties.

Russian authorities have the option to reinstate the AOC three months after the suspension if the carrier removes all deficiencies and violations.

In December, the Voronezh-based carrier stopped scheduled passenger flights, but had planned to resume scheduled services before the end of the year.

Over the past several months, Russian authorities have suspended or canceled the AOCs of six more carriers, comprising Air Samara, KAPO Avia, Russkoye Nebo, Moskovia, Bylina and Ak Bars Aero.

Some of them, such as Moskovia or Ak Bars Aero, had severe economic difficulties; Air Samara and KAPO Avia lost their AOCs because of aviation incidents.
