Of this day I have some great slides made by Leo Hoekstra which shows the 104658 CF-104D from 439 Squadron and the 21+24 RF-104G from MFG2. Phantom 68-0528/HR has a blue fintip which suggest it is a 10th TFS machine.

I have seen XV491/I on 11-8-1980 and the 38+66 on 23-10-1980.

But how do you know it's the right date if you don't know the movements of the whole year? Aircraft may visit more than once per year...

Stephan,

you are right, I will never be 100% sure and I duely note that in my files.
With sightings on subsequent dates though that increases the probability that I visited on those specific dates.

looking for two serials RF-104G's visited Soesterberg in 86 or 87 coded 3-42 and 3-46. They were parked at the cross. Any help is welcome. Thanks.

May 6th 1986 I had:

6511 3-43 6511 28øGruppo Italian a.f.
6579 3-42 6579 28øGruppo Italian a.f.

So probably not the ones you mention.

I was there too that day! 8)
3-46 was at Soesterberg on March 29th 1989 (and surely several other times), together with 3-37...

MM no of the 3-46. If have a slide but it was taken on Volkel as far I can see.
Thanks for the 3-43. Together with 3-42 he was at Soesterberg.

Soesterberg 9-31 and 9-53. ID and date? both also parked on cross (problem is slides Fuji no date on it).
