The day that probably got me hooked on spotting forever, after taking it up in October the year before. I was unaware of the upcoming deployment, but I still see the formation of eight 104s whiz overhead upon arrival. That kind of surprises happening, combined with the great variation in types and the amount of traffic in general was an absolute thrill! But you know what I'm talking about...
As you see I don't have all the units, hope that's no problem.

Of this day I have some great slides made by Leo Hoekstra which shows the 104658 CF-104D from 439 Squadron and the 21+24 RF-104G from MFG2. Phantom 68-0528/HR has a blue fintip which suggest it is a 10th TFS machine.
you are right, I will never be 100% sure and I duely note that in my files.
With sightings on subsequent dates though that increases the probability that I visited on those specific dates.

I was there too that day!
3-46 was at Soesterberg on March 29th 1989 (and surely several other times), together with 3-37...
