REQ: identity EC225/725 F-WTAO

Post by F17_114PM »

Seen today at Kefalonia (LGKF) a EC225/725 in prime. Registration was F-WTAO. It was coming from Dubrovnik and continued to Santorini. Has anyone more informations about it (c/n, user, final registration/serial, etc.)?

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Marcus

Sorry, no more info regarding its identity. She left Marseille on the 21st, flew to Rimini, Dubrovnik and then to Kefalonia.

Thank you Jos!
Future will tell ... ;)

P.S.: Do you know maybe the exact variant? It had some strange bumpers on top, before the engines.

Sorry, no more variant information. What do you mean by 'bumpers'? Can it have been the Multi-Purpose Air Intake (MPAI), like in this picture

These are used for ice and rain protection. If that is the case I suppose she will move on further east.

Jos

And onwards to Bahrain on the 24th, and to Muscat on the 25th.

No, I meant the smaller circular and square bulges under and before the air-intakes. In your picture they are very good to see. Is the forward one, some kind of camera for landing in bad weather situations?

The Multi-Purpose Air Intakes filter debris (sand, ice, dust, snow) from the engine inlet air. This debris is jettisoned through the circular tubes that you see to teh sides of the intakes. The square one in front of teh intakes is an air inlet, the purpose of which I do not know (yet).

Jos.
