The term "Hangar queen" seems not in place. Was still flying two weeks ago.
Nothing special on an aircraft that is two weeks in an hangar.

Stupid question probably, must have missed this elsewhere: Why are we calling the A330MRTT suddenly KC-30? I thought the USAF designation was KC-45?

Agree! The RAAF calls them KC-30, but aren‘t they just A330MRTT for the KLu/MMU?

On the other hand: what's in a name? As long as we share info and can figure what it means, I'm happy.

It may appear to be a hangar queen but this is not due to technical problems or similar negative reasons: I recall reading in some German article that T-056 is being configured into a Medevac configuration so that explains why it is not flying as frequent as the rest of the fleet.
cheers

I think the MMU is calling them KC-30M, not A330MRTT. In addition I think there is no such thing as a KC-45 after the USAF cancelled the project.

On internet site of Dutch Defensie they call it an A330-MRTT.
Also.on MMU Twitter account it's A330.
Nowhere I find KC-30, which is the RAAF type name.
