Greece , eh? That is my favorite holiday destination (after Turkey of course! :D ), but don't go too close near the fence of a military aerodrome , and not in the least with a camera ,otherwise you might end up in jail as a spy! :x
These Thunderstreaks were photographed by me at Larissa after having obtained an official permission to do so in July of 1972 . A few of them were ex Luftwaffe and they were all about to end their operational service.

I guess it would be nice to walk around this scene with nowadays photo equipment!!!

Are you certain that they were taken at Eindhoven?  On second thought it is my opinion they date back to September 1969. In that month exercise "Green Express" took place at Karup in Denmark, in which 314 squadron participated with not less than 25(!) Thunderstreaks!
Could I be right?

In that case the photos could either have been taken at Bodo or during a fuel-stop , for example somewhere in Denmark.Could I be right?

To be honest Hans, I do not know exactly when and where this shot was made as there is no info on the sllide. So after reading your comment I only can :oops:

An American scale modeler ask me what kind of color that is on the side and de wings.
A decal producer say it is aqua blue, but to me it seems more mint green or something.
Any one an idea about that?

@Dick, are you back in the Netherlands (Rijssen) or still abroad?

According to the book "Vliegend in Nederland/Thunderstreak"(author : G.Hiltermann), published by Flash Aviation in 1986 (recommended!) , page 24 , the colour on the side and wings of these Whiskey Four'67 demoteam Thunderstreaks was "Middelgroen KLu 502".
Perhaps that will help you any further?

Well, I have to correct myself (thanks dad :oops: !). With the eighty-four, during taxi, the shimmy-damper in the nose landing gear (NLG) permited some movement of the nosewheel. In that way, it allowed steering by assymetric braking with the main landing gear (MLG) brakes.

During towing, the towbar was connected to the nosewheel. The aircraft would follow the towtruck and the nosewheel was steered by the towbar, but the movement was limited by stops. If a too tight corner was taken, the towbar would sheer-off, so the NLG wasn't damaged.

If during towing the person in the cockpit stepped on the brakes, the chances were the NLG was pulled from under the aircraft by the towtruck, so braking by the person in the cockpit was only allowed in emergencies. In rough terrain or in snow, cables had to be attached between the MLG and the towbar during towing, again to prevent the NLG from being pulled from under the aircraft.

The above is specific to the F-84. Most other aircraft have NLG steering and during towing, the scissors have to be disconnected so that the nosewheel can follow the towbar.
