Some changes in the Eva Air schedule in March - June

"Due to operational reasons, EVA Air regrets to inform you that the BR76 (Amsterdam to Taipei via Bangkok) flight of 29 March, 14/19/26 April, 05/12/17/28 May and 16/25 June 2011 are suspended. BR75 (Taipei to Amsterdam via Bangkok) of 29 March, 14/19/26 April, 05/12/17/28 May and 16/25 June 2011 are also suspended"

UA/CO will have the following crossfleeting in effect for the summer/fall. Res systems will be updated soon:

eff 6/9 second IAD-CDG flight on CO B-757
eff 6/10 EWR-ZRH from CO B-767-224 to UA B-767-322
eff 9/1 IAD-AMS from UA B-777-222 to CO B-757-224
eff 9/29 First IAD-CDG frm UA B-777-222 to CO B-757-222

Lijkt me niet zulk schokkend nieuws, aangezien CO naar Star-Alliance is gegaan. Ze kunnen nu hun grotere vliegtuigen beter gebruiken op Star-Alliance velden als FRA en BRU.

Dat is waar, maar op sommige routes is de bellyvracht voor de airlines ook nog een lucratieve business. Dus daar houden ze ook rekening mee denk ik. Op een 757 gaan geen ULDs en op de 777/767 wel natuurlijk....

Vracht kan ook als bulk vervoerd worden ;) :P

maar idd wel opvallend aangezien op de KLM vlucht naar Dulles vaak wel veel vracht zit....

The GDS systems now confirm that CO will replace UA as the operating carrier on IAD-AMS-IAD, ofcourse this is part of the new UNITED which combines the strenghts of CO/UA:

Until 1 September 2011:

- IAD dep. 17:32 - arr. AMS 07:05 UA 946 B777-200 daily
- AMS dep. 12:15 - arr. IAD 14:53 UA 947 B777-200 daily

From 2 September 2011:

- IAD dep. 17:25 - arr. AMS 07:05 CO 124 B757-200 daily

United plans to make more capacity adjustments, as ORD-AMS-ORD changes from B777-200 to B767-300 on 1 September as well. The new United will clearly focus on Star Alliance hubs and pulls capacity away from Skyteam hubs.

Until 1 September 2011:

- ORD dep. 18:24 - arr. AMS 09:25 UA 908 B777-200 daily
- AMS dep. 11:15 - arr. ORD 13:07 UA 909 B777-200 daily

From 2 September 2011:

- ORD dep. 18:08 - arr. AMS 09:25 UA 908 B767-300 daily
- AMS dep. 11:15 - arr. ORD 13:26 UA 909 B767-300 daily

This flight originates in Ontario, California and operates via Denver to Chicago and on to Amsterdam.

From 2 September the new UNITED will operate as follows to/from AMS:

ARRIVALS:

- IAD dep. 17:25 - arr. AMS 07:05 CO 124 B757-200 daily
- EWR dep. 18:05 - arr. AMS 07:45 CO 70 B757-200 daily
