Re: Frisian Flag 2022
Hi, If I make it to Frisian FLag 22, it won't be until the second half of the second week. I seem to remember that Frisian FLag has flying every day until departure day. Not like TLP where the thursday was mostly for debriefing. Is it correct that any day of Frisian Flag can reasonably be expected t...

Re: Japan Airshows 2019
We can't go to he South side of Nyutabaru AFB on 14 and 15 Dec. this year. Because of the traffic control. Only the residents who have the permission issued by the local town office can go there. https://www.mod.go.jp/asdf/nyutabaru/airfesta/index_bk2019.html#thisPoint Uni Hi, Uni. Is it just that ...

Re: Japan Airshows 2019
F-4EJ 302Sq Special Scheme? Hi, The two 302Sqn specials from last year (both the black one and the white one) have been kept in Hyakuri and will be on static dispaly. I saw them as the static display was being tested. They still look marvelous, like they're ready to fly. The static will be nice wit...

Re: Japan Airshows 2019
Hi,
I'd like to clarify: there were Phantoms flying on that friday before the show, both fighter and recce versions. But the special paints from 302 squadron did not fly, nor were the fabulous individual F-4 practice displays of about 10 days earlier repeated.
Cheers, Buysse 2.

Re: Japan Airshows 2019
Trying to plan a trip around the Dec 1st Hyakuri Air Show. Is it normal practice for the military to not fly the day after the air shows? Would like to get 2 days of F 4 photos before they're retired. Just wondering if showing up for the air show is worth it versus showing up later in the week when...

Re: JAPAN Air Shows 2018
Thank you for the comprehensive reply, Uni.
It's going to be a memorable event, but I also foresee that it's not going to be easy to get into.
I will not be going to the show. I hope to catch Phantom 428 before that. I do like what they did with the paint job.
Best regards, Buysse 2.

Re: JAPAN Air Shows 2018
Hello, Uni. Thank you for all the information that you provided here over the last couple of years. What do you think about friday the 30th of November at Hyakuri? Will the roads already be blocked? I suppose routine flying will be very limited with everyone getting ready for the show. Would there b...

Re: Tsunami strikes Japan
I got an e-mail from Takeda Takashi and he is ok. He moved to Sapporo some time ago. A great relief. Regards, Paul Thank you, Paul. Among the mass of bad news from Japan, it's good to know that our friend is safe. One of the first TV-reports I saw here had footage of what was probably Sendai airpor...

Re: Tsunami strikes Japan
Hello, Uni. Terrible news! Good to see that you are OK, though. Mr Takeda Takashi (a friend of Scramble) lives in Sendai, I believe. A Kadena F-15 shot that he made was in Scramble's "dustpan& brush" in 2001. I hope that he is physically safe, but with his city destroyed it must be an ...
