I'd like to clarify: there were Phantoms flying on that friday before the show, both fighter and recce versions. But the special paints from 302 squadron did not fly, nor were the fabulous individual F-4 practice displays of about 10 days earlier repeated.

Trying to plan a trip around the Dec 1st Hyakuri Air Show. Is it normal practice for the military to not fly the day after the air shows? It's going to be a memorable event, but I also foresee that it's not going to be easy to get into.
I will not be going to the show. I hope to catch Phantom 428 before that. I do like what they did with the paint job.
