The Royal Bahrain Air Force will take delivery of 16 F-16C/D Block 70 fighters. These Fighting Falcons will be operated by 16th TFS from Skaikh Isa Airbase.

In 2018 the Royal Bahraini Air Force took delivery of two former RAF C-130J C5 Hercules transports to form No. 7 Squadron at Shakhir Airport.

The Royal Bahraini Navy and the Royal Bahraini Air Force will withdraw the Bo105C. The new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X will replace the Bo 105C in No. 10 Squadron from Rifa'a airbase.

The Royal Bahraini Air Force still operates the F-5E/F Tiger II in 6th Tactical Fighter Squadron from Shaikh Isa airbase. In 2024 these fighters will be replaced by F-16V-70 aircraft.
