Re: Wie/wat/waar vliegt daar (MIL) 2015

It isn't exactly military I think, but I just had a piston-engine (single engine) plane overhead Bilzen. By the sound and silhouette it looked to be a warbird. Anybody got any intel? The Boomerang perhaps? Could it be that Yak, currently based in Spa and often flying over North-East Belgium ? http:...

Re: 04jun2015: Sukhoi Su-34 bomber overturned off runway

Well, Cyrano de Bergerac would answer "this is a little bit short Monsieur !". :) I could just reply "yes we do". But I prefer to say "each of us has the right to think differently". And of course, one may know Russia, Ukraine and other places around there much more the...

Re: 04jun2015: Sukhoi Su-34 bomber overturned off runway

Thanks. Yes I noticed, but it's still shocking to see. If you like to know how this all started, I can recommend two books written by Peter 'd Hamecourt (former NOS-correspondent in Russia): 'Rusland in oorlog -met zichzelf en de wereld' part 1 and 2. I'm reading them now. He describes how the cold...

Re: 04jun2015: Sukhoi Su-34 bomber overturned off runway

And why would they risk a war against a major part of the rest of the world? What would they gain by doing so? Neither party would benefit from such a situation. Personally I find it really annoying that people start talking this kind of second cold war language again. Apparently people haven't lear...

Re: EU/Latin America summit 10/11 June 2015

A just saw right now such a Falcon coming to land at Brussels.
From pictures on the net, I think this may be the Bolivian one (tail colors). But from the distance, I can't be 100 % sure.

Rep of Moldova, Marculesti AFB (Mig 29s)

Some evening news from Republic of Moldova, regarding the last 6 Mig-29s (which didn't fly for years) at Marculesti AFB : it looks like some smugglers managed to steal some components of those aircraft, made of precious metals (Platinium, etc). Even less chances to see them flying now I am afraid .....

Dnepropetrovsk airport, Ukraine (CIV and GOV)

Some pictures from this airport, ex-soviet era air base (some shelters were still present at both ends of the main runway, but no more military there. On the road to the airport main gate, a nice looking Mig-19 was exposed (I didn't have the possibility to get close enough to make a picture). Those ...

Kecskemét AFB being less then 100 kms away from downtown Budapest and with a direct highway, one may wonder why go from Budapest (airport) to Kecskemét AFB by plane...

This C-12C was present at the airshow held there two years ago by the way.

I didn't manage to put the wrecks or unflyable birds pictures in the appropriate subject, so decided to post them also here.
Most of them Tu-134.
