GARUDA has announced the closure of CGK-LHR and a frequency reduction for CGK-AMS from 6x to 3x weekly for W19. Negative, this is just a rumour being spread by a local newspaper in Indonesia. No plans to change the AMS schedule just yet (although you never know what happens in the future). Good new...

I am looking to spend some time in Japan at the end of the year, and on the way back maybe a day or two in Seoul. Does anyone have any recent experience there, and could anyone tell me if it is possible to go to the famous spotting position on the hill by public transport?

China Airlines B777 B-18007 (Boeing c/s) on its way now.

According to a post on the official Dutch Facebook-page of Eva Air, the airline won’t come with the 787-9 to AMS anymore. It was scheduled to replace the 777-300ER from July 9th, but these plans are now cancelled. Plans were cancelled "for operational reasons". The 777 has a bit more seat...
