Re: Holiday in BC and AB, Canada part 3

I was at Langley in 2012. Not the most easiest museum to get clean shots.
Was the Hampden still there?

So nice that a B727 is the most modern aircraft in this set.

Volkel 27 September 2024 - Final KLu F-16 flight

After 45 years of operations today was the day of the final flight of eight Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16's. What was supposed to be a tour across the country passing all places that have been significant throughout the years was cut short due to very bad weather. I had positioned myself near the...

Volkel 24 September 2024 - F-16 photoshoot

I joined a photoshoot that was organized by the Royal Netherlands Air Force at the occasion of the phase out of the F-16 after 45 years of service. An F-104 and F-35 were also invited for the party. Despite a gloomy weather forecast we actually enjoyed quite a bit of sunshine. https://live.staticfli...

Re: F-16's live in Ukraine

Do NOT provide information that can benefit the Orks. They do not have to know how many birds there are, what blocks they are or if they fly or not. Loose lips do not only sink ships... Ukraine is fighting for our freedom as well ! This is hardly sensitive information. All videos and pics that were...

Re: F-16's live in Ukraine

84-1378 is most definately a F-16C. ADF versions are all block 15 birds and 84-1378 is a block 25 one.

Luke AFB airshow 23 March 2024

On the one but last day of the 4Aviation trip to the US we visited Luke Days. The last edition took place in 2018 so it was about time for a follow up. We arrived at the base about 15 minutes before the off-base parking grounds opened. Once opened we had our cars parked in no time. It was quite wind...

Very nice report Peter. I wonder if we will ever see 5th Gen aircraft as colourful as this.

edit: just found out through the DB that some ex-Aussies found their way to the RCAF... missed that info
All the former Aussies have been given these low numbers. Quite handy to identify them.

Davis Monthan scrap yards 22 March 2024

With a few people from our 4Aviation group we decided to pay a quick visit to the scrap yards along Wilmot Road. So inbetween Tucson and Davis Monthan we took a small detour towards said road which lies more or less opposite of the Pima Museum. Apart from a few other types the main occupant of this ...

Davis Monthan AFB 22 March 2024

After the first wave of F-16s had departed from Tucson we drove to Davis Monthan AFB. Main reason was the deployment of Canadian CF-188 Hornets. But off course active A-10s where also very much appreciated. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53743186168_db8ae23b23_3k.jpg A-10_79-0154_USReserves_01 ...
