A sunny morning on September 20 at the end of RWY04 resulted in the following movements. T.24-02 A330 T.18-02 Falcon 900 UD.14-01 / 43-31 CL415 C.15-44 / 12-02 EF-18M C.15-53 / 12-11 EF-18M C.15-56 / 12-14 EF-18M C.15-70 / 12-28 EF-18M CE.16-10 / 11-10 EF-T C.16-71 / 14/71 EF E.25-74 / 74-28 C101 E....
Rather quiet September 19..
Hornets C.15-18 / 15-05 and C.15-26 / 15-13 did a mission.
Visiting for a fuelstop were 2 EAV-8Bs: VA.18-24 / 01-914 plus one which eluded ID.
Guardia Civil EC135P2 HU.26-13 / 09-307 did multiple short flights.
Policía EC135 EC-MGL was also seen overflying the airfield.
A quick visit, cut short by millions of mosquitos, on September 19 produced the following:
HT.29-15 / ET-815 NH90TTH, plus 2 more which I could not read.
HU.22-07 / 09-233 BK117A3, Guardia Civil
HT.17-08 / ET-408 CH-47D; no rotors, presumed stored for now.
Tankers 762 (RSAF) and A39-002 (RAAF) (still?) there on Sept 21.
Also noticed C295M T.21-08 / 35-08 in special c/s
Couldn't get an angle on an RAF A400M..
Many thanks for your comprehensive report, chaps. A few comments. The 8th AMX in the group which could be seen from base was MM7196 (photo). Codes noted were: MM7185 / 51-36 MM7175 / 51-45 MM7176 / 51-47 MM7190 / 51-57 The flying display was actually opened by a couple of 510FS F-16s: 89-029AV and 8...
As to the passport info, I supplied this about a week in advance, which was ok (in February). So yes, a new requirement as compared to a few years ago.
Double Eagle Aviation does. They're based at Ryan Field nowadays. Not inexpensive though..
And technically speaking, the flights are basically around AMARC. Only when transiting back to Ryan Field the aircraft is allowed to actually fly 'over' AMARC. It's not like it used to be, alas.
