The RC-12X are not EMARRS all EMARRS,their are 4 variations are MC-12S,MC-12S -1,MC-12S-2,MC-12S-3.It depends on the equipment onboard.
These are no longer all based at Lakehurst or Fort Huachucha, the 15Th MI Btln has some,224Th MI Btln has some as well.Their is a new one undergoing testing at Redstone now just arrived from Lakehurst in the last few days, this one is unknown serial yet,but a King Air Beech 350 as self ided by pilot.

The US Army reorganise the aerial sigint battalions since 2015:

Fort Bliss 204 MiBn - ARL-E (DHC 8) and half GRCS
Fort Hood 15 MIBn - Gray Eagle and some GRCS (of 19 RC-12X)
Hunter 224 MIBn - MC-12S and EMARSS
Camp Humpreys 3 MIBn - ARL-E (DHC-8) and rest of GRCS minus 5 training
Fort Hood 206 MIBn - disband?
Stuttgart 1 MIBn - disband

all units under one Aerial Brigade 116 Military Brigade (Aerial Intelligence) at Fort Gordon

Russia is starting development of the same types of aircraft as US.

Hello pilotman.

Your lacking MC-12S must be the following

30283 (13-00283) MC-12S-3 VaDER EMARSS-V is newly pictured at AFTD Redstone Arsenal.

Picture on internet with elongated nose.

One other source mention it as a MC-12S-1, but it must be a MC-12S-3?

Hi hammarö,

It will not be that one.

13-00283 has a hex code of AE5623 (confirmed EGPK on 26-27 July 2015), whereas "CROOK47" has a hex code of AE5C92 - which has not yet been tied up with a serial. Not likely to be an RO-6A as the hex does not fit with the sequence of known hex codes/serials, and Albert only shows it as "filling".

Prior to arriving at Redstone, "CROOK47" could be frequently seen on ADS-B operating out of Lakehurst (could it be 12-00281 the old N45AJ??) - always same callsign and same hex code

Cheers,

Bob

Bob you say AE5C92 is not likely to be a RO-6A. I am not saying it is an RO-6A, but it perfectly fits in the other RO-6A hexcodes :
AE5C8C 15-00352
AE5C8D nn
AE5C8E 15-00358
AE5C8F nn but HEX noted Tuscon feb and aug-16
AE5C90 15-00577
AE5C91 nn
AE5C92 your Crook 47.

11-00282 should be FL-456 instead of FL-436
N800PU should be N8007U and is/was 10-0737, this is Emarss M1 and flying as Crook 40 oct-16, this could have been be re-serialed but would be the first one to receive a new military serial after conversion.

FL-623 is 09-0623 active with OK ANG, and still an MC-12W, currently deployed to the Middle East, this was only delivered to the OK ANG first quarter 2016 after conversion, so i doubt this will be/ has been converted to MC-12S by now.

This is the situation 2015.07.01 plus some smaller changes.
Today is (2016.10) 4 MC-12S, 1 MC-12S-1, 2 MC-12S-2, 1 MC-12S-3 modified.
Produced aircraft are now tested.
Other planes are planned to modify.
Figures include some very small wrong spelling. Not from me.

There is also some detachments:
Germany/Europe 1 RC-12X, EMARSS,
Africa 1 EO-5
Afghanistan 4 RC-12X plus some EMARSS, MC-12W,

Some planes transit very much. Even training aircraft.

Pieter,

The missing RO-6A serials for which we do not have hex codes are 15-00332 (assumed from the c/n of N8300Y)/338/348.

Logic would suggest that the sequence for these would be AE5C86/88/8A - gaps of two as the others are, and in serial number order. However, logic isn't always correct, so we will have to wait and see. I certainly do not mind being proved wrong. :)

Incidentally, "N45AJ"/(12-00281) went Westbound through EGPK (Prestwick) on 01-02 April 2016, so my guess as to the identity of "CROOK47" is still a possibility.

Regards,

Bob
