One of the main bases of the USMC is MCAS Beaufort in South Carolina. Four F/A-18 squadrons and two F-35s squadrons can be found here. VMFA(AW)-533 flying the F/A-18 is one of those squadrons

VMFA-115 ceased their Hornet operations on 9 November 2023. The unit will convert into F-35C by FY26/27. VMFA-542 received the first two F-35B fighters on 30 May 2023. |

The Bell AH-1Z Viper is the last model in the long Cobra attack helicopter line. The 'Zulu' model is an upgrade from the AH-1W Super Cobra as can be seen here with HMLA-167 operated 169852/TV-30.
